As a San Diego native, Leeanne Singleton joins the team as senior resilience officer and contributes to the San Diego Regional Policy and Innovation Center’s mission of building partnerships to implement policy-driven solutions for San Diego’s most pressing challenges.
Singleton brings more than a decade of professional experience to her role at PIC, working with communities across California to develop and implement long-range planning and community engagement efforts. She has served in roles in both the public and private sectors, including as an environmental analyst for the City of Hermosa Beach, where she led the update to the City’s General Plan that was unanimously adopted in 2017 by the City Council. Singleton also served as a senior planner at Raimi + Associates and as an associate planner at Pacific Municipal Consultants, where she assisted dozens of local governments in preparing general plan updates, sustainability and climate action plans, hazard mitigation plans, housing elements and urban design programs.
Singleton is currently completing her Master of Public Administration at San Diego State University as a John Fowler Graduate Endowed Scholarship recipient. She received her undergraduate degree in City and Regional Planning in 2010 from Cal Poly –San Luis Obispo.
Outside of the office, you can find her running and biking around San Diego training for marathons and triathlon endurance events, and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery that San Diego has to offer.
